The Ranthambhore National Park is open to tourists from the 1st of October to 30th of June. Gharial Sanctuary

The sanctuary is located in the Pali Ghat village of Sawai Madhopur, which lies on the banks of the Chambal river. This is also an ideal spot for avid birdwatchers, as it is also a breeding site of the Indian Skimmer. Other birds that one can find here are ruddy shelducks, bar-headed geese, Indian courser, black-bellied terns, black-necked stork, Red-crested pochard, common crane, Ferruginous duck, Sarus crane, bar-headed goose, northern pintail, and common teal.

Mansarovar Dam

Situated in the south western fringes of the Ranthambhore National Park, 20 kms from the main city, the formidable structure of Mansarovar Dam creates a walled boundary for the national reserve. A perennial water source, it attracts birds, both native and migratory to quench their thirst at the clear waters and breed at its banks. With a delightful view of the rugged mountainscape in the backdrop, clear azure skies almost all year round and a still water body, this site is a fantastic one for photography enthusiasts who want go up close and personal with nature.

Surwal Lake

A scenic and mesmeric location filled with natural beauty where the migratory birds flock.

Surwal is a shallow lake situated approximately 10 km from Sawai Madhopur. This seasonal lake boasts of a charming bird watching spots amidst acres of lush agricultural fields. Early mornings, before the sun has the chance to awaken the world from slumber, keen bird watchers make their way to this lake, especially in the months between November and March.

Keladevi Sanctuary

Covered in rich and dense forests, the Keladevi Sanctuary begins right after the Keladevi Temple and extends to both sides of the roads to eventually join the Northern arc of Ranthambore National Park.

It was founded in 1983 and was eventually absorbed by Ranthambhore National Park in 1991.
